Nuevo Laredo Cantina best Mexican in town

Nothing better on a bright and sunny afternoon than a margarita on the rocks and some good company. So this week I decided to go on an adventure and check out Nuevo Laredo Cantina located at 1495 Chattahoochee Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. It's a great little hidden spot in Atlanta that has some of the best Mexican food you can find!

Walked in and got a table in the main dinning area. Where you will find decor that is Charming and funny. Lots of pictures and some great signs! Chips and fresh salsa hit the table first. The chips are warm and salsa is fresh and spicy! The server came on and took out orders. We ordered margaritas on the rocks w salt now I will tell you the drink to order is the Cadillac margarita it's big and fantastic, but it was a week day so I went with the smaller one still as tasty just smaller!

The serve them by the glass or pitcher and prices start at $6.50.

Now I will have to let you in on a secret if mine. I have a weakness for a Chili Relleno. I have for years and this place has a fantastic one! Stuffed with beef potatoes and seasoning and topped w cheese I could not ask for anything better. The platter is served with rice beans and pico! The flavor is smoky and spicy and the pepper had a great bite to it.

My date for this lunch got the Enchiladas steak and chicken also served with rice and beans. The meat was tender and had a flavor profile that will make you smile. No need for anything extra and didn't even bother with sour cream they were fantastic!

I can't say enough about this place and it will become a frequent stop for me and I think it should be for you as well! Maybe next time I'll go ahead and get a pitcher of the Cadillac margaritas!

So on a Thursday for lunch or a weekend stop make sure you go by and enjoy a local Mexican restaurant.

Kula the Revolving Sushi Bar

If I say Sushi, what would you say? YES! Is the only correct answer. I had the pleasure of eating at the newest Sushi place in Doraville this week, called Kula it is an international brand, with 400 restaurants in Japan and this is the 13th revolving sushi bar in the US. They have places in California, Texas, and now Georgia. Hosted by Davo Eda, the Public Relations Manager, he was so kind to invite me in to see the new place. A relationship is like a good chili

On a cold day I love nothing more than a nice bowl of chili. Im sure most of us feel the same. I love getting fresh veggies and a great lean meat and making it myself, letting it cook most of the morning so I have something to warm my belly at night. My chili has lots of layers of flavor to it and changes depending on the products I have available to me at the market. As I was making chili this week I was thinking about my current single status. And I started laughing...relationships and chili are very similar. Im sure I am not the only person that has thought of this, but I instantly decided this was going to be my next topic! I'm There are times in your life where it seems you are at someone's going away party. Friends get new jobs, they marry, or even leave for school. All kinds of reasons for a move. Some friends you throw a party some friends you take to a bar and some its a nice dinner. My friend Laurie is moving out of state for a new job. I wanted to give her a foodie night out so I did some research and found a new place Endive Publik House at 1468 Mecaslin St NW, Atlanta, GA 30309.
