The Viking and his Queen

Now Im sure you have heard the old saying "a way to a mans heart is through his stomach"... Well let me tell you a secret. The same is for women! We love nothing more than a man cooking for us. In my experience it does not happen often. And I personally love it to come home to a house that smells of food and it not be because Im cooking.  Men let me tell you it is very sexy to come home to you doing the work! Now over the weekend I had the pleasure of this happening. Ive been out on a date with a new guy and what do you know I made it to date number 2! And he asked if I wanted to come over to his house so he could cook! What?!?! this is a great idea...He asked me a few questions about my likes and dislikes. And then he was off.  I came over to his place for dinner, around 630. As I walked to the door I could smell the smoker going, the smell was intoxicating! I knock on the door and wait...he opens it and Im knocked over by the smell of meat, garlic, and wine. Music playi

I'm a girl that always loves a holiday that allows and almost encourages a drink! Love one even more that celebrates food! And St Patty's day does all of those things! I started my weekend at Front Page News in midtown for brunch with some friends! I had a great breakfast if eggs and potatoes what every lady needs after a long night! And of course good company! From there we traveled to Blake's and sat by the window and had a few drinks and laughs taking lots of pictures of all the crazy shirts and outfits around. I have to say it was very funny all the green dye added to the drinks! Turns everything it touches green! The crowd was light for a Sunday but the weather really was not what we would would have wanted. Making the move to Ten around the corner for a change in venue was a nice idea they have a very yummy buffalo dip there it's a must try! Day became night and the crowd started to die down so I took my leave of the city I love to play in and went home.  I stoppe

      On a cold day I love nothing more than a nice bowl of chili. Im sure most of us feel the same. I love getting fresh veggies and a great lean meat and making it myself, letting it cook most of the morning so I have something to warm my belly at night. My chili has lots of layers of flavor to it and changes depending on the products I have available to me at the market.         As I was making chili this week I was thinking about my current single status. And I started laughing...relationships and chili are very similar. Im sure I am not the only person that has thought of this, but I instantly decided this was going to be my next topic! So here we go!         My chili recipe calls for a large pot (I like a dutch oven), to start. I place it on a medium high heat and add oil. I have chopped up a larger white onion and a few cloves of garlic. I add this in and let it cook down till tender. I then add my peppers, now you can chose how hot you want your chili I personally like a spic
