Lobster Rolls for Sunday Dinner

Hi all!
It's Sunday dinner on a summer night...so many things you can make. I personally love seafood.

So tonight I am making Lemon Lime shrimp on the grill and Lobster Rolls. Just add wine and your night will be complete.

First get live lobster they are not that hard to cook or break apart and are worth the extra work for all the flavor.

Second get a good shrimp these are 16-20 that mean you will get 16-20 shrimp in a pound.

Third you will need to cook and clean shrimp and lobster I will add a video later to help you get all the meat out. But below are pictures of the tools you will need.

For the lobster you will need crackers I have 2 types these little devices that help push and pick the meat out of sticky spots a roller if you will and I like to have kitchen shears they help cutting in to the tail

Cook the lobster in hot boiling salted water for 4-6 minutes they will turn red and start to float. You do not want to over cook them. Let them cool for a couple seconds but not too long you will need to get the meat out when it's hot and the longer you wait the hard it will be.

Break the lobster apart tail first then arms and claws legs off the body. See easy!

Now cut celery and its leaves about a half cup. Add parsley salt pepper dill and seasoning to taste. Butter poach the lobster to finish cooking it an adding more flavor. Cut up the lobster and add to bowl add mayo till coated not to much. And I like to add a little mustard as well. Let in sit in the fridge to chill while you toast your buns. I melt a little butter and spread that on the bread and place on the grill to toast.

I also made some lemon lime pepper shrimp for an app with a cocktail sauce to dip in I love these grill plates I found I cook on the grill with them all the time.

I hope you had a great weekend and remember Sunday dinners sent always pasta or pizza think outside and make something on the grill.

Keep cooking.

Kula the Revolving Sushi Bar

If I say Sushi, what would you say? YES! Is the only correct answer.  I had the pleasure of eating at the newest Sushi place in Doraville this week, called  Kula  it is an international brand, with 400 restaurants in Japan and this is the 13th revolving sushi bar in the US. They have places in California, Texas, and now Georgia.  Hosted by Davo Eda, the Public Relations Manager, he was so kind to invite me in to see the new place. He even let me bring a friend, so of course I brought my favorite lady Callie, to help me eat and take pictures.  We were introduced to Mr. Fresh, it is the plate holder for the conveyor belt, "he" holds the green plates of food and treats. There was a tutorial of how to grab the food from the belt, as well as how to order from the menu and dispose of your plates. Mr. Fresh keeps the food germ free, has a chip in it for timing and every 2 hours he lets a specialists know it is time to throw the food out. This technology helps cut dow

A relationship is like a good chili

On a cold day I love nothing more than a nice bowl of chili. Im sure most of us feel the same. I love getting fresh veggies and a great lean meat and making it myself, letting it cook most of the morning so I have something to warm my belly at night. My chili has lots of layers of flavor to it and changes depending on the products I have available to me at the market.         As I was making chili this week I was thinking about my current single status. And I started laughing...relationships and chili are very similar. Im sure I am not the only person that has thought of this, but I instantly decided this was going to be my next topic! So here we go!         My chili recipe calls for a large pot (I like a dutch oven), to start. I place it on a medium high heat and add oil. I have chopped up a larger white onion and a few cloves of garlic. I add this in and let it cook down till tender. I then add my peppers, now you can chose how hot you want your chili I personally like a spic

Goodbye to a Friend

I'm There are times in your life where it seems you are at someone's going away party. Friends get new jobs, they marry, or even leave for school. All kinds of reasons for a move. Some friends you throw a party some friends you take to a bar and some its a nice dinner. My friend Laurie is moving out of state for a new job. I wanted to give her a foodie night out so I did some research and found a new place Endive Publik House at 1468 Mecaslin St NW, Atlanta, GA 30309.  It's new opened in March and is only open Thursday thru Saturday. I recommend making reservations this place is smaller and has few seats. The menu is inventive and fresh. Some foodie plates for those of you that want to expand your palette and some go tos for those of you that would never eat 'that'. What ever that may be.  We started with a bottle of red wine a Pinot Nior recommended by our sever.  Two appetizers a Trio plate of dips with homemade chips and pickled vegetables. We also had a Fig and
