Nuevo Laredo Cantina best Mexican in town

Nothing better on a bright and sunny afternoon than a margarita on the rocks and some good company. So this week I decided to go on an adventure and check out Nuevo Laredo Cantina located at 1495 Chattahoochee Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. It's a great little hidden spot in Atlanta that has some of the best Mexican food you can find! 
Walked in and got a table in the main dinning   area. Where you will find decor that is Charming and funny. Lots of pictures and some great signs! Chips and fresh salsa hit the table first. The chips are warm and salsa is fresh and spicy! The server came on and took out orders. We ordered margaritas on the rocks w salt now I will tell you the drink to order is the Cadillac margarita it's big and fantastic, but it was a week day so I went with the smaller one still as tasty just smaller! 
The serve them by the glass or pitcher and prices start at $6.50. 

Now I will have to let you in on a secret if mine. I have a weakness for a Chili Relleno. I have for years and this place has a fantastic one! Stuffed with beef potatoes and seasoning and topped w cheese I could not ask for anything better. The platter is served with rice beans and pico! The flavor is smoky and spicy and the pepper had a great bite to it.
My date for this lunch got the Enchiladas steak and chicken also served with rice and beans. The meat was tender and had a flavor profile that will make you smile. No need for anything extra and didn't even bother with sour cream they were fantastic! 
I can't say enough about this place and it will become a frequent stop for me and I think it should be for you as well! Maybe next time I'll go ahead and get a pitcher of the Cadillac margaritas! 

So on a Thursday for lunch or a weekend stop make sure you go by and enjoy a local Mexican restaurant.

I will be very honest with each of you I had no idea this festival existed and that I had missed it for 15 years!  I am so happy for social media because of it I learn about some amazing events in and around Atlanta. Johnny's Hideaway Should Just Hide!

Now I will start with this...it was my boyfriends 40th birthday and he loves this place and while the server was great let me set the scene a little for you. Number 1 if you under the age of 50 you are no the demo for this place and the managers (by the way there are a couple) don't care for you then. The place is over stuffed with tables and chairs and little room to move, that have been in that bar since 1970.  You have to pay to valet and there is no other option. And they only take cash so prepare yourself for that one! Number 2 it turns out in this crap bar that wouldn't know an update if someone smacked them in the face with it. Including their food and drink options. They have a dress code yes I said it a dress code!! Now it's not posted on their web site...but there is a sign on the front door.
